Description: Upland Road House is situated on the Manukau Harbour overlooking Huia Bay. The house bends around site abit like a boomerang, stretching out for sunlight, views, and visually integrating with landscape. The design incorporated traditional materials, mono pitched roofs, site specific environmental design principles, thermal mass walls for passive solar gain, ample winter sunlight, native plant restoration, vegetable gardens, orchards, and has a natural wormarator waste water system.
