Description: Situated outside of Sao Paulo in a rural environment the long and narrow plot of land has outlooks to the West over rural green landscape with good North orientation.
Floor plans priorities living spaces, bedrooms, and bathrooms spaces to the North for sunlight exposure, and circulation, services areas to East. Living spaces and main bedrooms achieve outlooks to West over rural views and West courtyard.
Design response optimizes passive solar gain for natural warmth, and stack effect, cross ventilation, geothermal cooling (Canadian Well) for natural cooling. Walls will be constructed from thick rammed earth on an exposed poured insitu concrete structural frame and floor. The house has 2000L of gravity fed water capacity.
